Great Expectations Academy offers a full Beginning Band, and Advanced Band and a Jazz Band, for interested students. All bands perform in a winter and spring concert.

Beginning Band is open to students in the 4th - 8th grade. Participants begin the year learning to read music and play basic songs on the instrument they choose.

Students who participate in Beginning Band can audition for the Advanced Band, where the music played is more challenging. After a student is in Advanced Band for a year, they can audition for the Jazz Band.

Our accomplished Jazz Band has won numerous awards over the years and continues to compete at a High School level. Annual competitions include the NAU Jazz Festival in Flagstaff and the Fullerton Jazz Festival in California.
